Solutions for sale – Mostafa is a new sales representative at Innokas

Innokas recently welcomed a new sales professional; Mostafa Aseem brings over ten years of sales experience and an academic background in engineering to connect Innokas with innovative tech companies. We sat down with him to hear about his background, sales philosophy, and his experience at Innokas so far.

Early foundations in sales

Mostafa’s passion for sales began with a summer job at a restaurant, where he learned to sell ideas and solutions rather than just products. “If a customer’s preferred item wasn’t available, I enjoyed finding an alternative that satisfied their hunger,” he recalls. Later, at a clothing store, he set a personal sales record with a single customer. “That moment showed me I could truly listen and help people find exactly what they needed.”

His journey continued with selling call systems to telemarketing companies. Encouraged by a manager who recognized his potential, Mostafa transitioned into international medical sales, covering regions like the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Canada, and Latin America. “In the medical field, I learned how vital it is to understand customer challenges and offer solutions that genuinely improve lives,” he says.

Expanding horizons

To deepen his understanding of technology, Mostafa spent two years at a cloud technologies company, exploring how digital solutions could enhance market accessibility. Before joining Innokas, he worked at a company focused on sustainability and the circular economy, gaining insights into carbon footprints, handprints, and sales leadership. “Both times I felt a gap in my understanding, and stepping into a new field helped me fill it,” he explains.

Journey with Innokas begins

At Innokas, Mostafa has found the ideal intersection of his engineering background and extensive sales experience. “We don’t sell products, but solutions. Customers today aren’t looking for technology alone; they want answers to their problems. My engineering education helps me grasp the technical details and explain them in a way that creates mutual understanding.”

While Innokas works in a variety of challenging technology industries, it has long roots as a trusted Medtech services provider. Regulatory compliance has always been crucial, and Innokas takes this seriously. “We tailor solutions to each customer’s needs, be it anything from adapting software for medical use to providing agile development path to an optical device.”

Motivation from meaningfulness  

Out of all four of Innokas’ values, Mostafa connects with meaningfulness the most. “My goal is to improve people’s quality of life indirectly by solving challenges of the people who bring new innovations to the market. That gives my work real purpose.”

He also highlights the strong team spirit as one of his most positive experiences at Innokas so far. “It’s been easy and low-pressure to ask for help. I’ve received equal support from both colleagues and leadership. Janne, Teemu, both of the Antti’s, Tomi, Visa have all been incredibly helpful.”

Mostafa’s story is a reminder that sales can be technical, human-centered, and deeply meaningful, and that every step in your career can lead to a greater impact on someone’s life.
