Innokas is a Finnish family-owned high-tech company proud of its 30+ years of experience and history in highly regulated and quality-critical industries. As a contract design – and manufacturing company, our mission has always focused on improving the quality of people’s lives. We have done this together with our customers by realizing smart technological innovations.

In 2023, Innokas decided to renew its brand as we shifted from single focus Healthtech company to serving a wider range of high-tech industries. In today’s changed global environment and in line with our widening scope, we believe that our capabilities are in high demand in the defence industry. Consequently, in our strategy launched in spring 2025, we have set new targets for Innokas: first, we continue to strive to grow in Healthtech and second, we will significantly increase our operations in defence pursuing to serve especially customers developing dual usage products.

We believe that we can continue to improve people’s lives for generations to come by contributing to safeguarding both the values we believe in and the Nordic and European societies that we are a part of.

Meeting the needs of safety-critical industries

Innokas has history with the defence sector, and we are readily working with customers developing products available both for civil and defence use. Our strengths lie in our capabilities to manufacture highly demanding smart electromechanical products supported by our engineering as well as our quality and regulations expertise.

As a Finnish privately owned company with an established chain of known suppliers and factories in Nato countries Finland and Estonia, Innokas is well-positioned to operate as a manufacturing partner to customers that require exceptionally high-quality and reliability from their partners. Our Healthtech history explicitly showcases that we have the experience, expertise, tools and practices to operate in highly regulated environments. Innokas is adept in obtaining and maintaining strict certificates for its operations.  

Innokas is and continues to be a value-driven company. In our new strategy, we have carefully chosen the segments we target to operate in and what target markets we will serve to create a framework for our defence business. We will continuously screen and select our defence customers on the basis that their projects match our core expertise so that we can provide them with the most value.

Our core values remain equally important, and they will continue guiding the way we operate and make decisions. We keep our commitment to our sustainability targets and will support our customers in reaching theirs. We understand that we are expanding into a new industry area that is prone to value-based statements and needs ethical considerations to be constantly taken into account. We have engaged the Innokas team in an internal dialogue and in planning the implementation of our new strategy, all hands on deck. We also encourage all our key stakeholders to engage in an open dialogue with us.

Next steps

Innokas has a history of collaboration with dual-use customers and is now taking a strategic step forward by expanding further into the defense sector. This marks a significant investment area for the company. Pursuing certification in AQAP compliance and enhancing visibility within NATO networks will be part of this strategic objective and is already advancing at full speed.

Furthermore, we have initiated new collaborations and joined key industry ecosystems. Notably, the company is now a member of the Digital Defence Ecosystem, a network of leading Finnish defense and technology companies focused on fostering innovation and developing next-generation defense solutions. We will continue active participation in other relevant Finnish and Nordic networks to support growth and integration in the defense as well as the Healthtech domain. We are committed to being a trusted strategic partner that delivers high-quality services to all our customers.
