Shahin Amirkhani
has joined Innokas as Sales Manager, where he focuses on safety-critical electromechanical devices and the company’s engineering and design services. Drawing on extensive experience in technology sales and business development, he combines commercial insight with genuine curiosity and a passion for helping customers overcome challenges and advance their projects.

While the focus medtech brings a new perspective, the move itself has felt like a natural next step, Shahin tells us.

A familiar world with a new perspective

“I’ve been involved in the technology sector for a long time and worked closely with customers on technology-driven solutions, so in many ways this goes hand in hand with what I’ve done before,” Shahin says. “What makes medical technology especially compelling is how strongly safety-criticality comes through. Safe use, cybersecurity and reliability are such essential parts of the field.”

Throughout his career, Shahin has combined business development with leadership responsibilities, including growing and leading a software business unit. He has also worked in defense and manufacturing environments, where reliability and performance are critical.

“In those industries, reliability is essential because failures can disrupt production or affect critical operations. Medtech has a similar focus on reliability, but with an even stronger emphasis on safety. Combining advanced technology with high standards and meaningful impact is what makes this field so rewarding.”

Returning closer to technology

In his previous role, Shahin worked closely with healthcare customers, but felt he was missing something important.

“I liked the role, but I missed being closer to technology. That’s really where my personal interest and passion lie.”

This desire to move closer to technology was one of the reasons Innokas stood out. Shahin says he is driven by curiosity: what is being developed, what kinds of new solutions are emerging and how they can be turned into something meaningful for customers and end-users.

“During my first month at Innokas, I’ve already seen and heard about many exciting customer projects,” he says. “Getting closer to this kind of technology has been a welcome change. Innokas is developing some truly impressive innovations with its customers, and it feels like a real privilege to have a ringside seat as new technologies turn from ideas into real customer value.”

Helping customers move projects forward

For Shahin, the most rewarding aspect of the role is working closely with customers and helping them overcome challenges as their technologies evolve.

“I enjoy being able to contribute perspectives that support development efforts and add value along the way. Innokas offers an impressive breadth of expertise to help customers with development and compliance all the way through to manufacturing.”

“I’ve always been close to the customer, sitting at the same table and discussing their needs and challenges. Being around technology, seeing development happen and supporting it, that’s the real core of this work for me.”

A strong start at Innokas

After his first months at Innokas, Shahin has been especially impressed by the company’s drive to develop and grow.

“People here genuinely want to develop and create growth. There is real commitment to what we do.”

He has already had the chance to meet colleagues across the organisation, from leadership level to technical experts working directly on customer projects, as well as both new and existing customers. Looking ahead, he is particularly looking forward to meeting even more customers face to face.

“International work is something I genuinely enjoy, so it’s great to have the opportunity to support both existing and new customers beyond Finland as well,” he says. “Being able to work with innovators in different markets brings a valuable perspective"

At Innokas, Shahin has stepped into a role where customer dialogue, technology and meaningful innovation come together naturally. If his first months are any indication, he has found exactly the kind of environment he was looking for.

Shahin is Innokas' new sales representative for design services, covering product development, software and Qa/Ra services. If you have inquiries, don't hesitate to
