We have just published our Sustainability Report 2025. This is our third annual report covering environmental, social, and governance performance of Innokas as a whole. This year's report reflects a significant strategic development alongside continued progress on the company's sustainability commitments.

A new strategy, a new vertical, and sustainability at the core

2025 was a year of note. We launched an updated three-year strategy with a clear vision to be the go-to design and manufacturing partner for Medtech and defense industries in the Nordics. Driven by the growing need for new solutions for defense and the significance of dual-use technologies, the expansion into new vertical, backed by AQAP 2110 certification at both production sites opens new partnership opportunities while building on the same quality culture and regulated manufacturing expertise that Innokas has developed for more than 30 years.

Sustainability is built into this new strategy as a growth enabler, not a separate workstream. The updated sustainability roadmap, structured around four UN Sustainable Development Goals chosen by Innokas employees, sets concrete targets through 2028.

Commitments grounded in data

In the report, we published an update of the Innokas' climate roadmap and a formal net zero target: to reduce Scope 1, 2, and material Scope 3 emissions to net zero by 2035, measured against a 2024 base year. Total emissions in 2025 were 2558 tCO₂e, down from 3885 tCO₂e in 2024, reflecting both the transfer of one site to a new owner, a transition to green electricity at one of the remaining sites as well as more accurate calculation methods. Scope 3 accounts for the majority of emissions, which means the biggest impact is made across our value chain. This explains why, as a CDMO, responsible sourcing, circularity, lifecycle assessments and customer collaboration are key priorities in our roadmap.

For customers and partners, a notable development is Innokas' growing capability to support product-level carbon footprint calculations. In 2025, Innokas collaborated with long-term customer Aidian on the first full lifecycle assessment (LCA) for Aidian's QuickRead go Plus diagnostics device, contributing manufacturing-phase emissions data. As demand for product-level environmental data grows across procurement and regulatory channels, this capability is being systematically developed.

Circular design: building capability ahead of demand

Alongside emissions data, circular design is an area where Innokas is actively building capability. Regulatory pressure from the EU is pushing product longevity, repairability, and material choices up the agenda for anyone bringing devices to market. In 2025, Innokas updated its sustainability roadmap with concrete circular design targets and will introduce circular design principles to every new customer project team. The work is progressing with a clear direction.

Supply chain: ahead of the target

On responsible sourcing, Innokas exceeded its targets significantly. Of 45 high-impact suppliers identified in the 2025 annual evaluation, 82% have now signed the Innokas Supplier Code of Conduct or provided an equivalent commitment. We are ahead of both the 2026 target of 60% and the 2028 target of 80%. The company's ambition is to reach 100% coverage among high-impact suppliers. Whether we were originally too modest with our target setting or a clear signal that the significance and commitment sustainability is growing in the industry, we’d like to go for the latter.

People: honest about the challenges

The report also addresses Innokas' people results with transparency. The PeoplePower employee satisfaction index reached 64.8 (rating A) in 2025, with a strong response rate of 88%. Improving employee satisfaction is a named priority for 2026, with concrete action plans underway. Employee wellbeing remains one of our key priorities in sustainability.
