Our 2024 sustainability report has been published and is available to read on our website. Despite the challenges of last year, we were able to advance several of our roadmap targets during 2024 and increase the coverage of our reporting data.

Sustainability continues to be a key focus area at Innokas - as a CDMO, we recognize our role in influencing sustainability across the entire value chain. Sustainability is built into our values, mission, and strategic planning.

In 2024, we revisited the basics of our sustainability planning and reporting work started in 2023. Our sustainability roadmap target setting was updated and now includes four targets. In addition, during 2024, team Innokas chose four relevant targets of the UN 17 SDGs, which were added to the roadmap and will be integrated into detailed target setting during 2025. The start of planning for detailed KPIs including our climate goals for our updated target setting is taking place during 2nd half of 2025.

The key findings of our report:

  • At Innokas, the development of our employees’ competence, wellbeing, health, and equality remains a central focus of our reporting. Whilst the PeoplePower Index reflected the challenging year accounting to 68.6, our strength in leadership and engagement indexes held their ground and remained above the Finnish norm. Innokas continues to be committed to fostering diversity and inclusion. In the end of 2024,54% of our workforce were men and 46% women, and of the manager group, 61% were women.
  • Building a companywide sustainability culture is a strategic action point in Innokas’ long-term planning. In 2024, a Paree Group wide initiative to increase sustainability awareness within our teams continued with a variety of sustainability trainings and info sessions available for our people.
  • Reflecting on our commitment to building a resilient and responsible supply chain, we continued to implement new practices for responsible sourcing. Also, the sustainability of our supply chain is surveyed annually. In our 2024 evaluation, we categorized 329 suppliers and identified 48 high-impact suppliers with the evaluation outcome summarized in the report.
  • A significant action to our goal to increase our handprint included launching a circular design playbook in 2024. We continue to further enhance our practical knowledge and integrate sustainability into our customer projects in the future and strive to guide our customers through informed decision-making and help our customers reach their sustainability targets.
  • In 2024 climate data, we increased the GHG calculations to cover scope 3 categories 1-7 and 9. We improved the accuracy of data while also recognizing key development areas to improve future reporting. This concerns especially the calculation of scope 3, which accounts for a major part of our emissions.

At Innokas, extending our data gathering and reporting has been crucial for increasing our understanding of the areas where we have the best opportunities to make an impact. Open discussion and cooperation is still needed to further increase the data accuracy, and to ensure we create realistic detailed target setting to increase our sustainability and to help the entire value chain become more sustainable. We are looking forward to continuing our journey by setting tangible goals for our work starting during the second half of 2025. Our aim remains clear: to grow responsibly and profitably, create shared value, and contribute to a more sustainable future – together with our customers, partners, and people.
